Hi! My name is Rachel,
I am a homemaker who wants my home to be a place of warmth and joy to my family and friends. I want to embrace my home with all its imperfections creating peace in the home through grace. This blog is a place where I can share with you the homemaking skills along with recipes that have made my house a home.
I have been cooking from scratch all my life. My mother taught me to cook at a young age and I still have recipes, like cornbread, memorized from cooking with her. I don’t often look at recipes for myself anymore and tend to just cook and bake. So I have started to write down what I’m making in order to share with you all the meals and recipes my family loves.
My husband and I have been married for 7 years and we have 4 wonderful kids. Our oldest is starting kindergarten and we are very excited to start our homeschooling journey. I will be sure to share with you all how we learn together here on the blog.
We live in the Central Valley of California in gardening zone 9b. I love all things flowers and I try to grow food for our family as well. My garden is something I want to continually improve on. My desire is to provide organic, rich produce for my family feast upon, herbs for healing and flowers for beauty. This years goals is a strawberry patch.
I hope you are encouraged to embracing your own home while you are here. Thanks for stopping by.
Rachel
